I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
